Is this sick or not?

What do you think?  Sure, sick time is bad for business and doctors have better things to do than write notes for employees.....does  a sick note give your employer adequate "proof"?  What if your illness isn't "physical" but is more "mental"...will your family physician still give you a note?  If you don't need a note, is it easier to call in to say you are sick with a bad headache (perhaps from a hangover?) than with depression?  Being sick isn't fun, for me anyway, and if there's doubt about trusting that an employee is physically would that person feel if they were mentally ill?  Then again, apparently a lot of  Toronto airport employees called in sick during the cold winter weather this past weekend....what do you think? Is this sick or not?
